1061 King Street was donated to the Dee Norton Lowcountry Children's Center more than a decade ago by the City of Charleston to help fulfill their mission. This community-based nonprofit organization seeks to reduce the incidents of child abuse and its impact on the child, family, and community. This recent renovation was done pro-bono while with SMHa in order to help provide a safer, more comfortable place to receive these important community services.
